Responsibilities
- Handle materials with care, ensuring safe lifting and movement of goods throughout the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to load and unload shipments.
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update stock records, and manage order processing.
- Prepare items for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately according to order specifications.
- Receive incoming shipments by inspecting deliveries, verifying quantities, and recording receipt details.
- Stock shelves systematically, ensuring products are organized for easy access and inventory accuracy.
- Conduct quality control checks to identify damaged or defective items and report issues promptly.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; a strong willingness to learn is valued.
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and mechanical systems used in warehouses.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory software is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
- Good understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and documentation requirements.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with tools can be beneficial for equipment maintenance tasks.
