About the Role
As schools become busier and needing increasing numbers of supply cover to work in place of absent staff members, we're actively recruiting for cover supervisors.
The role of a cover supervisor is to deliver a pre-planned lesson and support learners in the classroom setting. You will need to have good classroom management skills and have previous experience of teaching in a group setting. A good standard of overall education is useful as often you would be covering a variety of subjects.
Cover supervisors are more commonly employed in secondary school settings however an increasing number of primary and secondary schools are using cover supervisors with strong teaching skills.
Requirements
- You don't need to be a qualified teacher to be a cover supervisor
- You do need referenceable experience of having worked in a group teaching setting
- Good classroom management skills
- Previous experience of teaching in a group setting
- A good standard of overall education
