DriveStaff Recruitment is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a busy and well-established transport operation based in Carrington, Manchester.
We have regular ongoing work available, with a choice of days, nights and tramping, making this a great opportunity for experienced Class 1 drivers looking for consistent weekly work rather than the occasional agency shift.
The client operates a modern, well-maintained fleet and can offer regular work to reliable drivers.
Immediate starts are available following successful registration, induction and Drug & Alcohol testing.
PAY & SHIFTS
£18.00 – £23.50 per hour PAYE
Rates vary depending on the shift and day worked.
We currently have opportunities across:
- Day shifts
- Night shifts
- Tramping
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend work
- Regular ongoing shifts
- Long-term opportunities
- Weekly PAYE pay

THE ROLE
You'll be working across a mixture of general haulage, trunking and RDC work.
Typical duties will include:
- Driving HGV Class 1 vehicles
- General haulage
- Trunking between depots and RDCs
- Deliveries and collections
- Completing daily vehicle checks
- Ensuring paperwork and PODs are completed accurately
- Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely
- Working within Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations
- Maintaining a professional standard when representing the client
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Valid UK Class 1 / Category C+E licence
- Minimum 2 years' Class 1 driving experience
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum 6 penalty points
- No serious driving endorsements
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations
- Professional and reliable attitude
- Good communication skills
- Ability to successfully complete a Drug & Alcohol test before starting
