Key Responsibilities
- Clean assigned areas of the home using appropriate equipment and materials.
- Empty bins and ashtrays and maintain tidy, organised spaces including furniture and equipment.
- Replenish supplies such as toilet rolls, soap, and paper towels while maintaining cost awareness.
- Collect cleaning materials and supplies from the home’s storeroom.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is used and maintained correctly, reporting any faults or hazards promptly.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and quality standards, reporting non-conformances appropriately.
- Comply with Health & Safety regulations including COSHH, environmental health, and fire safety procedures.
- Maintain contact with service users and support care staff when requested.
- Inform management of stock levels and supply requirements.
- Report complaints, incidents, or concerns promptly to the appropriate manager.
- Maintain confidentiality in line with data protection and GDPR requirements.
- Undertake laundry duties as required.
- Cover colleagues’ duties during sickness or annual leave.
- Participate in induction and ongoing training programmes.
- Promote a positive image of the home and organisation at all times.
- Attend meetings as requested by management.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, visitors, and staff.
- Work in a courteous, professional, and responsible manner at all times.
- Support the maintenance of residents’ lifestyle in line with the home’s philosophy of care.
- Ensure adherence to the home’s code of conduct.
- Cooperate with colleagues to maintain effective teamwork.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the smooth running of the home.

Requirements
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to undertake mandatory and ongoing training.
- Ability to follow Health & Safety procedures including COSHH.
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection responsibilities.
- Ability to carry out physical cleaning duties.
- Flexibility to support operational needs of the home, including covering shifts where required.
