This role is to Supervise Street Lighting & Technology works in the East and East Midlands Regions - technology experience an advantage, but not essential. Highways experience advantageous.
Duties
- Management of all site resources including on-site liaison with traffic management contractors, sub-contractors and Client to ensure smooth delivery.
- Where Crown Highways are Principal Contractor, represent the business for CDM purposes s outlined in the CPP.
- Ensure works are completed in line with Risk Assessments and Method statements.
- Ensure works are carried out to appropriate standards and compliant with design drawings.
- Undertake site inspections and deliver site inductions and toolbox talks.
- Ensure ITPs are completed as required including photographs and client signatures.
- Ensure site records are completed and submitted to the scheme file.
- Attend weekly site programming meetings with the client as and when required.
- Identify and mitigate risk on-site providing proactive solutions.
- Promote near miss and hazard reporting.
- Support the Contracts Manager / Operations Manager as required.
- Ensure all plant checks are completed, support Transport department to ensure site compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience of managing teams or undertaking a supporting role to plan and deliver schemes including client interface
- Highways experience
- SSSTS
- SMSTS - desirable but not essential
- Highways electrical experience/understanding desirable but not essential
Skills and Aptitudes
- Enthusiasm and passion to ensure that all Crown Highways work is delivered in a manner without compromise on safety, quality or customer service.
- Understanding of of the importance of meeting client and customer requirements.
- Able to work as a part of a team with good communication skills.
