Dairy Farm Assistant:
Location: St martins/Ellesmere
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable, and enthusiastic Dairy Farm Assistant to join our team on our 300-cow, all-year-round calving dairy farm.
We rear all of our own replacement heifers, offering a varied and hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with livestock and takes pride in high standards of animal care.
Modern up to date parlour.
Key Responsibilities:
Milking cows to a high standard with attention to detail, cleanliness and herd health.
Feeding cattle using a TMR (Total Mixed Ration) system.
Carrying out artificial insemination (AI).
Monitoring cattle health and welfare.
Assisting with rearing replacement heifers.
General day-to-day farm duties and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and animal welfare and flexibility within the role.
Tractor work
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous dairy farming experience is preferred.
AI experience is an advantage.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, good time keeping, committed and hardworking. With a positive attitude.
Must be available to work weekends as part of a rota.
Full UK driving licence.
