We are seeking a responsible individual to take the role of Registered Manager at our residential care home in Highworth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in care management along with a good clinical understanding. This role requires exceptional people/leadership skills, as well as a thorough understanding of care plans, medication administration, and the needs of elderly individuals. Most importantly, it is the ethics and work moral that we look for.
Duties
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans for residents, ensuring that their individual needs and preferences are met.
- Supervise and support nursing staff and caregivers, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.
- Oversee medication administration processes, ensuring that all protocols are followed accurately and safely.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident care needs and adjust care plans as necessary to promote optimal health and wellbeing.
- Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and external stakeholders to ensure transparency and collaborative working.
- Ensure that the facility is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and safety for both residents and staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior care management or a similar leadership role within a nursing home or assisted living setting.
- Strong understanding of care plans, medication administration, and regulatory compliance in the healthcare sector.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team effectively.
- A compassionate approach to care with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of residents.
- Relevant qualifications in health or social care management are desirable but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and our residents.
