Working Hours: 04:30/05:00 – 13:00/13:30 (start time usually between 04:30 and 05:00)
Salary Range: £33,000 - £38,000

Overview
An established food manufacturing organisation is seeking a Production Planner to join its Supply Chain function.
This role is responsible for developing accurate and effective production plans to support daily operations and longer-term business objectives. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the successful candidate will ensure production schedules align with customer demand, operational capacity, and business targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate daily and forward production plans in line with agreed timelines, machine availability, and run rates.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Commercial teams to understand customer demand and plan for fluctuations in volume.
- Ensure promotions, product changes, and demand variations are planned and communicated effectively.
- Continuously review and adjust production schedules to ensure products are delivered on time and in full.
- Liaise with internal teams, including Maintenance and Production, to ensure materials, labour, and equipment are available as required.
- Troubleshoot planning issues and implement effective solutions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Attend and contribute to daily operational meetings, communicating key updates and actions.
- Maintain regular communication with production teams to ensure alignment with the daily plan.
- Support and deputise for the Planning Manager when required.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop accurate production plans using correct demand and stock data, including reviewing system alerts.
- Ensure customer orders are fulfilled in full and on time, supporting OTIF (On Time In Full) performance targets.
- Optimise production schedules to minimise downtime and avoid unnecessary labour costs.
- Maintain responsibility for food safety, product quality, brand integrity, and health and safety compliance.

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail.
