Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all road regulations. Experience with flatbed deliveries is preferred, as you will be handling diverse loads that may require special handling.
Duties
- Operate a lorry in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
- Load and secure cargo, ensuring it is safely transported to designated locations.
- Deliver goods on time.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to company policies regarding safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence with a category CE entitlement.
- Up to date CPC and Digi Cards
- Proven experience as a HGV driver min 1 year experience max 6 points
- Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and road safety standards.
- Excellent navigational skills and familiarity with local routes.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service while on delivery routes.
