Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met.
- Assist with food preparation, including assembling sandwiches, salads, and other café offerings.
- Serve customers efficiently at the counter or table, providing friendly and attentive service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all areas of the café, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Manage cash register operations, handle transactions accurately, and provide correct change.
- Support stock management by restocking supplies, checking expiry dates, and organizing storage areas.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts.
