We are looking for a Shift Manager who can empower, lead and positively motivate our night shift operatives to ensure that our food production lines continue to run smoothly between the hours of 6am and 6pm on a Panama shift pattern.
Basic Responsibilities:
- Managing the team effectively to ensure productivity
- Ensure targets for various factors are reached (production, quality, waste, etc.)
- Ensure continuous running of machines to plan, specification, and technical levels
- Identify training and development needs of operators and assist in scheduling
- Co-ordinate with the hygiene team to maintain the high standard of housekeeping, cleaning schedules, and ensure audits are carried out as per company standards
- Assist in trials, equipment installations, and any machine projects
- Ensure BRC standard are maintained
- Carry out appraisals, 1-2-1’s, and performance review to ensure team success
Personal Characteristics:
- Experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing/bakery environment
- Understanding of Health & Safety, Quality and Hygiene requirements/systems
- Proven record of team development and motivation
- Inquisitive approach, close attention to detail, and effective problem solving
- Good communication, written and verbal
- Resourceful, reliable, and resilient
Additional Information:
- 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English or equivalent
