Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Launch Assist Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth launch of new projects and products by driving company vehicles, assisting with warehouse operations, and ensuring materials are handled efficiently and safely. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and to external sites
- Assist with inventory management using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock levels, locations, and movements accurately
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stocking, storage, and organization of goods in compliance with safety standards
- Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing orders for dispatch, verifying shipments against documentation, and maintaining accurate records using systems like AS400
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to ergonomic guidelines to prevent injury
- Assist with picking & packing orders efficiently to meet delivery deadlines
- Perform routine mechanical checks on vehicles and warehouse equipment; report any issues promptly for maintenance or repairs
- Occasional overnight stays for client new site openings.
Experience
- Proven warehouse experience with a strong understanding of materials handling procedures
- Experience in shipping & receiving operations, including load & unload procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks
- Full clean UK driving licence.
