Restaurant Supervisor – Urban Reef
Urban Reef is looking for an experienced, confident Restaurant Supervisor to help lead our front-of-house team at our busy beachfront restaurant in Southbourne.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, leads by example and understands how to create a brilliant guest experience from first welcome to final goodbye. For the right person, there is a clear opportunity to progress into a management position as the business grows.
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 4 years’ experience working in a busy restaurant environment
- Previous supervisory or senior waiting experience preferred
- Strong food, drinks and service knowledge
- Confident leading a team during busy services
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- A positive, reliable and professional approach
- High standards of presentation and attention to detail
- Ability to support with staff training, service standards, opening/closing and daily operations
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
The role
Supporting the General Manager and management team with daily restaurant operations
Leading front-of-house shifts and ensuring smooth, efficient service
Motivating, coaching and supporting the team on the floor
Delivering warm, knowledgeable and attentive service to every guest
Handling guest feedback and resolving issues professionally
Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation
Assisting with team training, rota support, stock checks and opening/closing procedures
Helping drive Urban Reef’s standards across food, drinks, service and atmosphere
