Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks with precision and flair
- Assist in food preparation, including assembling sandwiches, salads, and baked goods to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all aspects of service and preparation
- Serve customers efficiently, taking orders accurately and providing friendly, attentive service
- Manage cash register operations with basic math skills for transactions and change handling
- Support the team in cleaning duties, stock replenishment, and maintaining a tidy workspace
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in a similar food service role is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices to uphold health standards
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to perform food preparation tasks efficiently and safely
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
- Effective time management to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Good communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members
