Wilsons is a long-established, family-run butchers, delicatessen and bakery with over 40 years of serving Yorkshire. Our fleet of Pie Vans delivers freshly prepared sandwiches, homemade pies, hot food and bakery products to hundreds of loyal customers across Leeds every day.We're looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pie Van Driver & Salesperson to take over one of our established and successful routes.If you enjoy meeting people, working independently and providing excellent customer service, this could be the perfect role for you.
The Role
No two days are the same. You'll be responsible for managing your own Pie Van, serving regular customers and ensuring they receive the high standards of food and service that Wilsons is known for.Your responsibilities will include:
- Loading your van with fresh food each morning.
- Driving a planned daily route around Leeds and surrounding areas.
- Preparing fresh hot sandwiches and serving food throughout the day.
- Selling a range of homemade products including sandwiches, pies, pastries and drinks.
- Building strong relationships with regular customers.
- Handling cash and card payments.
- Cashing up and completing daily paperwork.
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and vehicle presentation.
You'll work independently during the day but will be fully supported by our experienced Pie Van team.Full training is provided.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Enjoy working with people and delivering outstanding customer service.
- Be friendly, confident and approachable.
- Be self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Be reliable, honest and well organised.
- Have good numeracy skills and be comfortable handling cash.
- Take pride in maintaining high food hygiene standards.
- Hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
Previous experience in retail, hospitality, food service, mobile catering or sales is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
