We are Scottish Brain Sciences, a Life Sciences Company with Headquarters in Edinburgh, Scotland. We conduct observational research and deliver clinical trials of new treatments for a range of neurodegenerative conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease. We foster the rapid translation of research into practice (bench to bedside).
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and professional Clinical Trial Receptionist – Fixed Term to provide front-of-house and administrative support during a period of increased participant activity. This temporary role has been created to support an anticipated influx of clinical trial participants and visitors, ensuring an excellent experience for all individuals attending the site.
The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, sponsors, and staff, while assisting with general administrative duties and maintaining a welcoming environment.
Some of what you’ll be doing:
· Welcome patients, study participants, visitors, and contractors to the clinical trial site.
· Check in participants and notify relevant clinical staff of their arrival.
· Ensure reception and waiting areas remain tidy, professional, and welcoming.
· Offer refreshments, including tea, coffee, and water, to patients and visitors.
· Manage incoming telephone calls and direct enquiries appropriately.
· Assist with visitor sign-in procedures and maintain visitor records.
· Provide general administrative support to the clinical trial team.
· Assist with filing, scanning, photocopying, and data entry.
· Maintain accurate records in accordance with site procedures and confidentiality requirements.
· Support the team in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment
The skills, experience, and qualifications you’ll bring:
· Previous reception, customer service, or administrative experience.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Professional and welcoming telephone manner.
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
· Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
