PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £29,500-£35,500 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Join the Scotland Brand marketing team to help shape and deliver a dynamic slate of brand and content campaigns for our audience.
As Marketing Executive, you'll work from brief to evaluation on a diverse slate of content: from live football to premium drama, unmissable events and award-winning true crime. The role works closely with teams across the BBC to drive reach, talkability, and grow our brand for audiences in and beyond Scotland.

As part of the Scotland brand marketing team, you’ll work across almost all BBC platforms, genres and output to reach and engage our audiences. This includes everything from our ongoing news, sport and audio offers to a range of comedy, factual, drama, and entertainment content titles.
The role works closely with media, creative and social teams, as well as the wider business - driving the best strategy, execution and evaluation of our marketing campaigns to deliver for audiences across our output.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
Lead the delivery of effective and impactful creative work and ensure campaigns meet strategic objectives across media platforms.
Develop campaign briefs and contribute to complex briefs led by the Marketing Manager, or collaborative briefs with other BBC marketing teams.
Review creative responses and media plans to ensure alignment with campaign goals
Ensure campaigns are delivered within budgets and timeframes
Ensure all marketing activity complies with BBC Editorial Guidelines and policies.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Proven experience delivering complex, multimedia marketing campaigns from brief to evaluation
Proven experience working collaboratively with creative and media teams (in-house or agency)
Strong project management skills and ability to use resources efficiently, with a focus on output and delivery across simultaneous projects
Self-reliance. Able to manage self and workload within a complex matrix environment with shared responsibilities
An analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate ideas and experience in measuring and assessing campaign performance
DESIRABLE:
Understanding of editorial and compliance policies.
Knowledge of the broadcasting industry and interest in creative content.
An in-depth understanding of Scottish Content, culture, and media landscape; and the BBC’s role and purpose with in that.
Ability to lead project teams and manage campaigns in a matrix environment.
Proven ability to collaborate across teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation experience.
