Job Summary:
As a Kitchen Porter at Madhatters Dining Room, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen area. You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment, utensils, and workstations are clean and well-maintained, allowing our chefs to focus on preparing delicious meals for our guests.
Responsibilities:
* Clean and maintain the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations
* Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling and chopping vegetables
* Ensure all kitchen areas are tidy and organized
* Restock kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed
* Dispose of waste and recyclables in a responsible manner
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
Requirements:
* 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a kitchen or hospitality environment
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods
* Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and procedures
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desired Qualifications:
* Food Safety and Hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Previous experience working in a kitchen or hospitality environment
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
