Trade Recruit is working on behalf of a well-established and growing car transporter company in Sheffield, who are looking to recruit an experienced Transport & Accounts Administrator to join their team.
This is a varied position combining bookkeeping, transport administration and general office support. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of a busy vehicle transport operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping using Xero, including maintaining accurate financial records
- Raising and processing client invoices
- Submitting driver timesheets to the company accountant
- Updating and maintaining the transport planner using Excel
- Accurate data entry into the company's transport planning software
- Booking vehicle collection slots and coordinating collection arrangements
- Booking hotel accommodation for drivers when required
- Liaising with drivers, customers and other members of the team as necessary
- Carrying out general office administration and providing day-to-day administrative support
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in an administration, transport administration, accounts or bookkeeping role
- Experience using Xero
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Confident using computer systems and entering data accurately
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy working environment
- Good communication skills and a professional approach
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
