The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional, and reliable Table Tennis Coach to join our growing coaching team.
You will deliver engaging, structured, and age-appropriate Table Tennis sessions for primary school children aged 5–13 years, helping them develop hand-eye coordination, agility, concentration, sportsmanship, confidence, and technical skills in a fun and supportive environment.

What You'll Deliver
Sessions may include:
- Fundamental Table Tennis techniques
- Grip, stance and footwork development
- Forehand and backhand strokes
- Serving and receiving skills
- Rally and consistency drills
- Hand-eye coordination and reaction games
- Singles and doubles match play
- Mini tournaments and fun challenges
- Sportsmanship, teamwork and confidence-building activities
- Age-appropriate sessions adapted to different abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, fun, structured and inclusive Table Tennis sessions.
- Create a positive learning environment where every child feels encouraged and supported.
- Teach fundamental Table Tennis skills in a safe and enjoyable way.
- Adapt activities to suit different ages, abilities and learning styles.
- Encourage teamwork, fair play and positive behaviour.
- Maintain excellent behaviour management throughout sessions.
- Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are always followed.
- Set up and pack away equipment before and after sessions.
- Maintain attendance registers where required.
- Communicate professionally with schools, parents and the Serge Betsen Sports team.
- Act as a positive role model for all participants.
- Report any safeguarding or welfare concerns in line with company procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Table Tennis coaching qualification or recognised coaching experience.
- Minimum Level 1 Table Tennis Coach (or equivalent coaching experience).
- Experience coaching children aged 5–13 years.
- Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Valid Safeguarding Children Certificate.
- Valid Emergency First Aid Certificate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Passionate about developing young people through sport.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Table Tennis England Coaching Qualification (Level 2 preferred).
- Experience delivering after-school clubs.
- Experience working within primary schools.
- Experience delivering holiday camps or community sports programmes.
- Experience organising mini competitions and tournaments.
- Full UK Driving Licence (desirable but not essential).
