Job Title: Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship
Location: Tangent House Day Nursery - Melton Rd, Leicester LE4 8BB
Salary: Anyone below the age of 18 will get £8.00 per hour. The hourly rate begins at £8.00, with scope for an increase depending on the successful applicant.
Contract: Full time Apprenticeship
Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30am to 6pm, you need to be flexible and will work between the start and finish times
This Level 3 apprenticeship training programme develops the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to work in a childcare setting with the opportunity to take responsibility for leading childcare provision.
Overview –
Under the guidance of teachers, the successful candidate will be involved in working with individuals or small groups of children to support the education, personal and social development of pupils and establishing positive relationships to assist pupils complete structured learning activities.
Duties may include:
- Support to implement learning activities working with individual or small groups of pupils,
- Support to assist the development of varying skills that support pupils' learning,
- Support in producing learning resources,
- Support to assist in pupil supervision,
- Support in monitoring and recording of pupil progress and developmental needs,
- Reporting pupil progress to the teacher,
- Work within the schools policy and procedures,
- Working to the relevant apprenticeship standard/framework and completing work in a timely manner
- To the accountabilities above, the apprentice may be required to undertake any of the duties normally
Skills –
- Empathy and understanding of children under five.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills with children and parents.
- Ability to write reports and keep clear and accurate records.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Administrative and basic IT skills
- Calm and caring nature
- Ability to work as part of a team Able to work on own initiative
