Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Childrens Home Registered Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of a children’s home residential provision. This is a vital role which involves ensuring the safety, well-being, and developmental progress of children in care, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. As a Registered Manager, you will inspire your team, foster a nurturing environment, and implement high-quality care practices that support each child's individual needs. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating a positive, stable home where children can thrive and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the residential children’s home, ensuring all care activities meet regulatory requirements and best practice standards.
- Develop, review, and implement personalized care plans tailored to each child's unique needs, including those requiring specialized support.
- Supervise and support staff members, fostering a motivated team through effective leadership, supervision, and ongoing training.
- Oversee medication administration processes to ensure safety and compliance with legal guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of care activities, incidents, and progress reports to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Promote a positive environment that encourages children's development, emotional well-being, and social skills through engaging activities and consistent routines.
- Collaborate with external agencies such as social services, health professionals, and educational providers to coordinate comprehensive support for children in residence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Children’s home environment is highly desirable.
- Strong background in managing care homes or similar residential settings with supervising responsibilities.
- Knowledge of care plans development and medication administration procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide multidisciplinary teams effectively
- Excellent understanding of regulatory standards related to children’s residential services and safeguarding practices.
