Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager has the responsibility for all aspects of onsite property repairs, renovations and estate groundskeeping at the Manor Adventure Activity Centre in the Isle of Wight.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
These include but are not limited to the following:
· Performing preventative maintenance, general repairs, renovations and groundskeeping
· Health & Safety - relating to maintenance including equipment, current regulations, operating procedures and practices
· Finance – agree and manage tasks/projects costs with the Head of Centre
· Staff Management – manage the small team of maintenance staff, prioritising tasks and productivity
· Organise statutory inspections – gas, fire, electrical testing etc
· Equipment – ensuring that company equipment is properly maintained and stored to ensure maximum life
· Flexibility to travel to other centres, to work on projects
· On-call some weekends, set out by Head of Centre
· Completing weekly / monthly updates with HOC and Head of Maintenance
Essential Knowledge, Experience & Skills
· Knowledge of maintenance/property HSE requirements
· Broad experience in all aspects of building/maintenance – joinery, plumbing, plastering, basic electrics and ground keeping
· Full driving licence
· Ability to plan, create and work to a schedule
· Customer service orientated outlook
· Excellent people manager and the ability to create positive supportive relationships with other departments
· Proven ability to manage budgets & competitive procurement sources
