Pay rate: £14.56 per hour
Shift Pattern: 20.00-08.00
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our dedicated team, providing 1:1 support to a bright and joyful lady who lives at home with her mum and dad in Portland.
She has Perisylvian polymicrogyria and requires round‑the‑clock care, delivered by a consistent and understanding team. She is non‑verbal, and her support workers will learn to recognise and respond to her unique communication cues. Full training will be provided.
This is a rewarding role supporting a lady who brings a lot of happiness, warmth, and personality to those around her.
Experience and Skills of a Support Worker:
- Experience with non‑verbal communication and complex needs is helpful but not essential.
- You should be kind, patient, caring, reliable, consistent and confident in your role
- Willing to learn specific communication cues.
- Happy to engage in sensory, creative, and play‑based activities.
- Comfortable working within the family home
- Able to work as part of a small, stable team.
