Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced FLT Reach Truck Driver to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating reach trucks to efficiently handle materials, manage inventory, and support shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, warehouse experience, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment. Duties
Operate reach trucks safely and effectively to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse, adhering strictly to safety protocols and operational guidelines.
Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements, update stock levels, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Assist with shipping and receiving processes by preparing items for dispatch or receipt, verifying quantities, and inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies.
Perform routine equipment inspections and basic repairs on forklifts or reach trucks to maintain optimal operational condition.
Support warehouse organization by stacking pallets, arranging stock in designated areas, and maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate material flow, prioritize tasks, and meet daily operational goals.
Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury while managing large or bulky items.
Skills
Proven experience operating forklift trucks, specifically reach trucks, within a warehouse environment.
Strong understanding of warehouse management systems for inventory control and data entry accuracy.
Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing minor repairs.
Excellent materials handling skills with the ability to load and unload goods efficiently and safely.
Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures including documentation verification.
Good basic math skills for counting, measuring, and recording quantities accurately.
Physical strength and stamina necessary for heavy lifting tasks over extended periods in a fast-paced setting.
