Trevor Wigley & Son Bus Ltd is one of the UK’s leading bus dismantling and recycling businesses. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced PSV Bus Mechanic to join our team.
The Role
Your duties will include:
- Diagnosing and removing bus engines, gearboxes and driveline components.
- Removing axles, suspension, steering and braking systems.
- Identifying reusable parts for resale.
- Using workshop tools and lifting equipment safely.
- Working efficiently to dismantle buses to a high standard.
- Following all health and safety procedures.
- Working as part of a friendly and experienced team.
About You
Essential:
- Experience working on PSV buses, coaches or HGVs.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Confident removing engines, gearboxes and major components.
- Reliable with a good work ethic.
- Able to work independently and within a team.
Desirable:
- Experience using forklifts, overhead cranes or lifting equipment.
- Experience with vehicle dismantling or recycling.
- Burning equipment experience (training can be provided).
