We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Head of Centre (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) to lead and inspire our SEND-focused educational facility. Duties
- Lead the overall management and strategic development of the centre, aligning with educational standards and SEND best practices
- Ensure high-quality teaching and learning by supporting staff development, coaching, and performance management
- Oversee curriculum planning tailored to meet the individual needs of learners with SEND, promoting inclusive education
- Foster strong relationships with families, local authorities, and external agencies to support learner progress and well-being
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, safeguarding policies, and quality assurance frameworks
- Monitor learner outcomes through data analysis, assessments, and feedback to continuously improve centre performance
- Promote a positive centre culture that values diversity, inclusion, and holistic development for all learners
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching children or young people with SEND in an educational setting
- Demonstrable leadership skills with experience managing teams or centres focused on special educational needs
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation, safeguarding protocols, and inclusive teaching strategies
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with staff, learners, families, and external stakeholders
- Relevant qualifications in education or special education needs (e.g., QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
- Ability to develop innovative approaches to support diverse learning needs while maintaining high standards of care and education
