Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to inspire students in their artistic journey. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various art forms and the ability to foster a love for creativity among students of all ages. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, teaching fundamental art techniques, and encouraging self-expression through art.
Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cater to different skill levels and interests.
- Teach various art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Organise art exhibitions or showcases to display students' work and celebrate their achievements.
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into the broader curriculum.
- Maintain an inventory of art supplies and manage classroom resources effectively.
Qualifications
- A Qualified Teacher Status qualification
- A degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous teaching experience in an educational setting i
- Strong knowledge of various artistic techniques and mediums.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively.
