Job Summary
The IT Manager will lead and support Mack’s IT systems, with a key focus on Microsoft Business Central, ensuring effective implementation, user support and continuous improvement across the business. The role will work closely with operational teams, central IT, implementation partners and wider Fresca Group colleagues to resolve issues, improve processes, support core applications and devices, and drive efficient, customer-focused IT service across Mack sites.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of day-to-day support for Microsoft Business Central, providing guidance, troubleshooting, training, and user assistance.
- Support Business Central projects and enhancements, including system testing, implementation, rollout, and user adoption activities.
- Work closely with operational teams to understand business processes and identify opportunities to improve systems, automate tasks, and increase efficiency.
- Gather and document business requirements, collaborating with external partners, developers, and central IT teams to deliver effective solutions.
- Provide onsite IT support for business applications, Microsoft 365, hardware, networking, printers, Wi-Fi, and end-user devices.
- Support tablets, handheld devices, and operational technology used within warehouse and logistics environments.
- Act as a trusted IT partner to colleagues across the business, providing advice on systems, technology, and cyber security best practices.
- Assist with reporting, data quality improvements, and process optimisation initiatives.
- Serve as a local escalation point for IT incidents and service requests, ensuring a high level of customer service and timely issue resolution.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, helping to drive digital transformation and continuous improvement.
- Travel to company sites as required to support users and operational activities.
- Comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental policies and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the needs of the business.
Person Specification
- Strong experience supporting Microsoft Business Central.
- Previous experience in an IT leadership/management role.
- Experience within Fresh Produce, FMCG, warehousing, or logistics environments would be advantageous.
- Good all-round IT technical knowledge across
- Business applications, including Microsoft 365
- End-user computing, esp Windows 11
- Mobile devices
- Basic infrastructure and networking
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Strong customer service and user support focus.
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements would be beneficial.
- Exposure to process improvement, automation, or digital transformation initiatives would be advantageous.
- Willingness and ability to travel to around the UK to other Mack sites.

Pay: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
