Portofino is an Italian family-owned restaurant located in Newcastle city centre, open 7 days a week.
We are looking for a new member to join our dedicated kitchen team.
We are looking for someone who is happy to work in a fast- paced environment with previous experience in Italian cooking.
We cook all our dishes from fresh so need a chef who is knowledgeable in all stages of preparation and cooking.
Shifts are a mixture of split shifts or 8 hour all day shifts.
You will need excellent communication and organisational skills, have impeccable standards of cleanliness and be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
The position is full time. Applicants must be able to work evenings and weekends.
We may require an initial trial period before offering the permanent position depending on your experience and previous employment record.
Salary is negotiable based on skills and experience. Hourly based pay. Minimum hours are guaranteed.
Tips are paid every week. Salary paid every 4 weeks.
