Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Server and Kitchen Team Member to join our team in our calm and organised hotel breakfast restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the culinary arts and a keen interest in providing exceptional hospitality to our guests.
Duties
- Load and unload dishwasher as necessary
- Polish cutlery and glasses and set tables
- Provide the guests with menus and take their drinks order
- Check if the guests have any allergies
- Serve food and drink orders speedily and clear tables constantly
- Check if guests are satisfied on a regular basis
- Check that guests have paid for their meal
- Effectively deal with any guest concerns and involve management when necessary
- Tidy and clean the breakfast room after closing time
- Follow food hygiene and safety rules in the kitchen and dining areas at all times
- Manage time efficiently to meet service demands
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area
- Support the Chef and other team members during service
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced setting
- Culinary qualifications or training would be advantageous
- Excellent time management skills
