Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Handyman Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep and repair of our facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or supervise a team. The successful applicant will play a vital part in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment across our premises.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and building infrastructure
- Repair or replace faulty components using welding, electrical expertise, or mechanical skills
- Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting and system adjustments
- Supervise maintenance activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed efficiently
- Lead small teams during maintenance projects or repairs, providing guidance and oversight
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
- Assist with specialised tasks such as electrical wiring or mechanical repairs as needed
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and organisational standards
Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance roles with a strong background in electrical systems, mechanical repairs, welding, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance environment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Prior experience in supervising teams or managing maintenance projects is highly desirable
- Knowledge of health and safety practices related to facility maintenance and repair tasks
