We are currently seeking a professional, flexible, and reliable Relief Gatehouse Security Officer to support our team in the Hatherleigh and sites near , covering both day and night shifts as required.
Shift Pattern
- Relief role covering holidays, sickness, and operational requirements
- 12-hour shifts (Days: 06:00 – 18:00 / Nights: 18:00 – 06:00)
Key Responsibilities
Access Control:
Manage all site access, including welcoming visitors, staff, and contractors. Accurately record personal and vehicle details and direct individuals appropriately.
Safety & Security:
Maintain a safe and secure environment by professionally managing unauthorised access and escorting individuals where necessary.
Emergency Response:
Respond effectively to incidents and emergencies, including site evacuations, ensuring the safety of all personnel.
CCTV Monitoring:
Operate and monitor CCTV systems in accordance with company procedures and data protection standards.
Searches & Inspections:
Conduct searches in line with company policies, maintaining professionalism and respect at all times.
Key & Equipment Control:
Manage the issuing, tracking, and safe storage of keys and security equipment.
Site Patrols:
Carry out regular patrols to maintain a visible security presence and ensure site integrity.
Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard Licence
- Full 5-year checkable employment/education history
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Basic IT/computer skills
- Flexible and adaptable to cover both day and night shifts
- Ability to reliably commute to Hatherleigh (EX20 3HT)
