Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist with daily shop operations, and ensure a welcoming environment for all visitors. This role offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills within a dynamic retail setting, supporting the smooth running of our shop and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Hours to include every other Saturday 8am-4pm ,Monday 1–4pm other shifts where necessary
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their enquiries in a professional manner
- Provide information about products and services available in the shop
- Handle transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Restock shelves and organise displays to maintain an attractive shopping environment
- Ensure the shop floor is clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times
- Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and deliveries
- Support team members with various administrative tasks as required
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members, both in English and Spanish if applicable
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential
- Friendly, approachable, and able to work well within a team environment
- Organised with good attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and products
