The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in the commercial management and delivery of construction projects from tender stage through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial and financial aspects of multiple projects.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.
- Undertake tendering and procurement of subcontract packages and materials.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate terms and conditions.
- Prepare and submit interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Monitor and report on project costs, margins, and progress to senior management.
- Provide accurate and timely cost advice and risk analysis to project teams.
- Liaise with clients, design teams, and site management to ensure smooth project delivery.
Essential Criteria
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably with a main contractor.
- Proven experience managing commercial aspects of medium-to-large construction projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quantity surveying software.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites as required.
Desirable Criteria
- Chartered status (MRICS or working towards chartership).
£55,000- £75,000 per year.
