Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and exceptional customer service skills, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible experience. As a Service Advisor, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers, guiding them through the service process and providing expert advice on vehicle maintenance and repairs.
We are a family run main dealer and have been operating in the Chippenham area for 40+ Years.
Expected working hours:
Monday - Friday 08:00 - 18:00
Saturdays - 08:00 - 12:30 (Alternating between staff members)
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assess their service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of services required, including upselling additional services when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service recommendations.
- Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate processing of payments.
- Liaise with technicians to ensure timely completion of services and communicate updates to customers.
- Address customer queries and concerns promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure their needs were met.

Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge to effectively communicate with customers about vehicle issues.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on building rapport and trust.
- Experience in upselling services or products is advantageous.
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and financial transactions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Full Clean UK Drivers Licence
- Computer literate (Excel, Word & Dealer Management System)
