Aims of Job/Job Purpose
The main responsibility of this role is to assist/support the day-to-day effective running of the Motor Vehicle workshop delivery as directed.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

To keep workshop clean and tidy
- To assist lecturers in all practical classes
- Be responsible for tools, fittings and consumables
- Log all tools and equipment in and out of the tool stores
- To repair and maintain machines and tooling
- Keep an inventory and stock of all tools, machines and fittings
- To check that all the equipment is in a safe working order at all times
- Liaise with Curriculum leaders in ordering of tools and fitting and consumables
- Develop/maintain work areas and rigs
- Liaise and comply with external insurance companies
- Maintain workshops to meet Health and Safety requirements
- Conduct Risk Assessments and Safe Working Practices
- Plan and progress a series of jobs, keeping the line manager informed of activity
- Attend and contribute to the section meetings
