Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Cook and serve dishes promptly, ensuring quality and presentation are maintained
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure all food handling meets health regulations
- Support inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supply needs
- Help with setting up serving stations and assisting servers during meal service
- Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and supporting colleagues
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen work is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and meal preparation processes
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies or equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards assisting others
- Prior experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is a plus but not required
