Job description
Responsible for all activities associated with supporting the Machine operator in setup, operation and clean-up of the corrugated machinery.
Duties:
- Learning the role as a machine casemaker operative.
- Learning to set up, check jobs and ultimately be a second to the lead operator.
- Informing Machine operator of faulty machinery and production issues.
- Storing goods in a factory which does involve operating lifting equipment such as pallet trucks.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations when operating machinery and handling products.
- Keeping work areas and the factory floor clean and free from hazardous material.
- Adhering to operational procedures and production timelines.
- Any other duties as requested by management.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Mechanical knowledge and advantage.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment, learn quickly and follow established processes.
- Good mathematical skills - add and subtract numbers, multiply and divide by 10's and 100's, Must be able to use a calculator and read a measuring tape.
- Must be able to read, write and speak in good English.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organised, detail orientated and self-motivated individual.
Physical demands
To succesfully perform the essential functions of this role it requires the ability to : stand constantly, walk constantly, frequent us of hands and arms, the role require some manual lifting
