A fantastic opportunity for the position of Institutional Investor Relations has now become available to support the Investor Engagement Team across client campaigns, investor intelligence activities and strategic relationship management initiatives. The role combines direct engagement with institutional investors, investor intelligence research and analysis, and the delivery of insights that support shareholder engagement strategies, proxy voting campaigns and corporate transactions.
A key aspect of the role is developing a strong understanding of institutional investor behaviours, policies and decision-making processes. This knowledge will be used to anticipate likely investor intentions, identify areas of support or concern, and provide intelligence that enhances the effectiveness of client engagement programmes.

The Investor Engagement team provides corporates with expert advice and representation across global annual meetings, mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests and other extraordinary transactions. The team combines proxy expertise with strategic consulting services, including solicitation strategy, investor identification, , vote projections and insights into investor ownership and voting profiles.
Our local presence and global footprint enable us to analyse and mitigate the operational risks associated with corporate actions worldwide, while providing clients with the insight and support needed to navigate complex investor engagement and transaction processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Engage directly with institutional investors as part of shareholder outreach campaigns supporting proxy voting and corporate actions mandates, including Annual and Extraordinary General Meetings, M&A transactions and other strategic corporate events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, including asset managers, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and asset owners.
- Develop a detailed understanding of investor governance policies, stewardship priorities, voting frameworks and engagement preferences to assess likely investor positions and support the projection of shareholder intentions.
- Lead communication efforts with major institutional shareholders and other influential market participants, maintaining constructive dialogue to improve the quality, depth and reliability of shareholder feedback.
- Conduct proactive investor engagement beyond transaction-specific campaigns, facilitating discussions on governance, stewardship, ESG, capital allocation and other strategic topics.
- Manage multichannel communications with stakeholders, including telephone, email and virtual meetings, effectively communicating complex information and gathering actionable investor feedback during live campaigns.
- Collect, validate and analyse investor intelligence from regulatory filings, stewardship reports, proxy voting disclosures, corporate governance policies, external data providers and direct investor interactions.
- Capture, maintain and enhance investor intelligence within the firm's proprietary database, ensuring the accuracy and quality of information relating to investor contacts, voting behaviour, governance priorities, proxy advisor usage and transaction-related considerations.
- Analyse investor data and engagement outcomes to identify trends, highlight potential risks and opportunities, and support the development of strategic shareholder engagement recommendations for clients.
Contribute proactively to the evolution of the firm's engagement methodologies, reporting frameworks, investor intelligence capabilities and best-practice approaches to shareholder communication

What will you bring to the role?
- Graduate-level qualification (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Communications, Sustainability, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Law.
- Knowledge or coursework in Sustainability or Corporate Governance is helpful, but not essential.
- Fluent in English – strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, with IELTS certification strongly preferred.
- Excellent MS Office skills, particularly in PowerPoint and Word.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including experience with pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Knowledge of SharePoint is considered an advantage.
