Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality childcare and early childhood education within a nurturing environment. Duties
- Plan, organise, and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that support children’s learning and development.
- Supervise and ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at all times within the nursery setting.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress, sharing insights with parents and team members.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Support children with their personal care needs in a respectful and caring manner.
- Lead by example in promoting good behaviour, manners, and social skills among children.
- Contribute to the planning of curriculum activities in line with early childhood education standards.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to child records and daily reports as required.
Requirements
- Hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education.
- Proven experience working within a nursery or childcare setting, ideally at Level 3 or above.
- Strong leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with children, showing patience, empathy, and enthusiasm.
- Knowledge of current childcare legislation, safeguarding procedures, and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative independently.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for roles requiring travel between settings or community engagement activities.
