Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Expert Tandoor Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of traditional Tandoor cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen management. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering exceptional authentic Indian cuisine. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Tandoori dishes with precision and consistency.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including supervising junior chefs and kitchen assistants.
- Manage food production processes to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Lead the team in food preparation, cooking, and presentation to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve skills and maintain high standards of culinary excellence.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock efficiently.
- Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Extensive culinary experience specialising in Tandoori cuisine and food production.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively.
- Excellent food preparation and cooking skills, with a focus on authenticity and quality.
- Solid kitchen experience, including knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene protocols.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.
- Experience in restaurant operations, including serving processes and customer service principles.
