ob Title: Field Service Forklift Engineer
Location: To cover Yorkshire
Basic Salary: £37,000 - £40,000
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm, Friday 8:00am–3:30pm (39 hours)
You’ll be joining an established and friendly team as a Field Service Forklift Engineer, covering customer sites across Yorkshire. This is a permanent opportunity within a close-knit, supportive team where everyone works together and enjoys a relaxed, easy-going working environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Attending customer sites to diagnose and repair forklift breakdowns.
- Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance.
- Completing LOLER inspections.
- Diagnosing faults across forklift equipment.
- Quoting customers for required repairs.
- Collecting parts from the depot before attending customer sites.
- Providing a professional and reliable service to customers across Yorkshire.
Experience you will need:
- Experience as a Forklift engineer / Material handling mechanic / Plant Fitter or similar
- Previous forklift engineering experience is highly desirable.
- Ideally, experience working on gas, electric and diesel-powered forklifts.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- A full UK driving licence is required.
