The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Front of House Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of the pub. This is a hands-on role where you'll lead by example, ensure excellent customer service, and help maintain high operational standards during every shift.
Working closely with the management team, you'll supervise the front of house operation, support and develop the team, and ensure guests receive an outstanding experience from the moment they arrive until they leave.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the front of house team during service
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve any guest concerns professionally
- Support the Assistant Manager and General Manager with daily operations
- Open and close the business when required
- Ensure the pub is presented to the highest standards at all times
- Supervise food and drink service to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Train, coach and support new and existing team members
- Manage table bookings and guest flow during busy services
- Handle cashing up, tills and daily paperwork where required
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and health & safety
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or maintenance issues
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver smooth service
- Assist with events, functions and seasonal trading periods
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a supervisory role within hospitality
- Is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service
- Leads by example with a positive and proactive attitude
- Is confident managing a team in a fast-paced environment
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills
- Remains calm under pressure and enjoys problem solving
- Has strong attention to detail
- Is flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
- Holds a personal licence (desirable but not essential)
