About the role
As an Art and Design Teacher at Lift Unity City, you'll create a positive learning space where all students feel supported and encouraged. You'll plan engaging lessons, guide students in reaching their goals, and work closely with colleagues, families, and pastoral staff to help each young person grow. What impact could you make in this role?
Key responsibilities
Plan and teach engaging lessons that challenge and support students to progress
Adapt your teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND, high ability, and EAL students
Use assessment and feedback to guide learning and help students reflect on their progress
Build a positive, inclusive classroom where clear routines support good behaviour
Work with colleagues and families to support each student's academic and personal development
Help shape curriculum design and contribute to schemes of work
We are looking for someone who
You'll have a degree and Qualified Teacher Status, along with a genuine passion for teaching and learning. You'll understand what excellent education looks like and be ready to respond to feedback and coaching to keep improving. Good IT skills and knowledge of your subject area are important, as is the ability to build trusted relationships with students and colleagues. Someone who brings empathy, patience, and resilience to your work every day.
