About the Role
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for children and young people.
Working as part of an experienced team, you'll help young people build confidence, develop life skills and achieve positive outcomes while promoting their emotional wellbeing and independence.
Your responsibilities may include:
✔ Providing high-quality, child-centred care
✔ Building positive and trusting relationships
✔ Supporting daily routines, education and recreational activities
✔ Encouraging independence and life skills
✔ Promoting positive behaviour through therapeutic approaches
✔ Maintaining accurate records and reports
✔ Working collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals
✔ Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people at all times
What We're Looking For
We're seeking caring, resilient individuals who are passionate about improving the lives of children and young people.
Essential Requirements
✔ Minimum 6 months' experience working with children and young people in a residential or care setting
✔ Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce, Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification
✔ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
✔ A positive, resilient and compassionate approach
✔ Strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
✔ Right to work in the UK
