Job Overview
We're currently looking for a new musician to join our books for 2 mornings a week and occasional weekends, predominantly in Weston- Super-Mare. Must be able to sing and play guitar or ukulele. Must have experience with children, be very organised and have own car.
Rock Out Baby is music classes for babies and toddlers hosted by working musicians. Our classes are 30 - 45 minutes long and we usually host 2 - 3 classes back to back in one venue. We host classes within the community, within nursery and care home settings. This particular job will be focused on going into care homes hosting inter generational music sessions. We play a mixture of nursery rhymes, original songs and Rock and Roll songs.
The set list changes from week to week so it's important to have a good repertoire of songs under your belt as well as ability to learn songs quickly.
For the right person this is a very fulfilling and flexible job with high rates of pay. Starting musicians are paid £25 per class and all classes are hosted in the morning from 9.30 - 12.
Duties
- Performing live music classes with energy and enthusiasm
- being in charge of your own kit
- Driving from venue to venue
- Hosting classes for nurseries and care homes
- Engaging with parents with a open sociable demeanor
Requirements
- Good singing voice and willing to learn ukulele or guitar
- Organised
- Must be sociable and approachable
- Light admin and social media skills, some training will be given for this
- Able to follow a set list and lesson plans provided
- Drive your own car
- Enhanced DBS
Pay: £35.00-£50.00 per hour
