We are seeking an energetic and passionate exceptional Musical Theatre Teacher to inspire and cultivate the next generation of performers. Duties
- Design and deliver comprehensive musical theatre lessons that incorporate singing, acting, and choreography tailored to different skill levels
- Prepare students for performances by coaching vocal techniques, stage movement, and character development
- Create a positive, motivating classroom atmosphere that encourages creativity, teamwork, and self-expression
- Organize rehearsals for upcoming productions, ensuring smooth coordination among cast members
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support growth
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to plan performances and special events that showcase student talents
- Maintain a safe learning environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines during all activities
Skills
- Proven experience in teaching children from the age of 3-19 and or performing in musical theatre or related fields
- Strong knowledge of vocal techniques, acting methods, and dance choreography specific to musical theatre styles
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students of diverse ages and backgrounds
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that balance technical skill-building with creative exploration
- Flexibility to adapt teaching approaches based on student needs and performance requirements
- Passion for arts education with a positive attitude that fosters confidence and enthusiasm in learners
- Relevant certifications or training in theatre arts, music education, or performing arts are preferred but not mandatory
Preferred:
- Plays an instrument
- Experience in staging productions
- Actively in the performance arts world, working within the performing art indutry
Required:
- Fully enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
- Have experience teaching children from the ages of 3-5 years old.
- Availability every Sunday from 2-5pm (Starting from October 2026)
Pay: £15.00-£25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1.5 – 3.0 per week
