At Wiltshire Police, we are dedicated to making our community a safer place for everyone. Our team is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and service. We believe in creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every member can thrive and make a meaningful impact. Whether you’re just starting your career or looking to advance, Wiltshire Police offers a range of opportunities to grow and develop. Join us, and be part of a team that values courage, compassion, and dedication to public service. Help us to keep Wiltshire safe.
About our DDaT Services team
At Wiltshire Police, we're transforming policing through Digital, Data and Technology. We recognise that DDaT is no longer simply an enabler of policing; it is a strategic capability at the heart of how we protect communities, empower our workforce and deliver better public services. As we evolve from a traditional ICT function into a modern, user-centred DDaT organisation, we're embracing cloud technologies, automation, AI, data and digital innovation to create smarter, more connected and resilient services. Join us at the start of an ambitious transformation, where you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of digital policing, work with emerging technologies, influence meaningful change and build a rewarding career that makes a real difference to our organisation and the communities we serve.
About the role
As Head of Services & Delivery, you will lead the design, delivery and continual improvement of Wiltshire Police's digital, data and technology services, ensuring they are user-focused, innovative and trusted by those who rely on them. Working at the heart of our DDaT leadership team, you will shape strategic priorities, drive meaningful digital change and create the conditions for high-performing products and services to thrive. This is an exceptional opportunity to influence how technology enables frontline policing, improves user experience and delivers lasting public value.
What you will be doing
Provide accountable leadership for DDaT services, products, delivery and change, ensuring coherence from strategy through to live operation.
Own the end-to-end service and change lifecycle, ensuring services are conceived, delivered, transitioned, operated and retired in a controlled, value-led way.
Translate organisational strategy, service roadmaps and national programmes into a coherent, achievable delivery portfolio.
Lead prioritisation and sequencing across services and change, balancing user value, operational risk, affordability, capacity and strategic alignment.
Establish robust governance and assurance across products, services and change, providing confidence to senior leaders and governance boards.
Ensure effective transition of change into live service, including readiness, supportability, training and cutover arrangements.
Provide trusted insight to executive and governance forums on service health and performance, delivery confidence, risk, dependencies and benefits.
Lead and develop the service, product and delivery professions within DDaT, setting standards, building capability and creating clear career pathways.
About you and your experience
You will bring credible senior experience in service design, product management, change delivery or technology leadership, with the ability to operate across complex priorities and live operational services.
You will be confident translating organisational strategy and operational priorities into realistic, deliverable plans.
You will understand how to balance user need, operational risk, capacity, affordability and long-term sustainability in a predominantly COTS and SaaS-based environment.
You will hold ITIL 4 Foundation certification
You will hold a recognised delivery or programme management qualification, such as PRINCE2, MSP or AgilePM.
You will have a relevant degree, or equivalent senior professional experience, in digital, data, technology or service delivery leadership.
What we offer
Excellent career development opportunities

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 30 days
