We have a great opportunity for an experienced early years practitioner to join our team at Chawton Preschool.
The position is a term time with regular hours plus some cover hours and additional cover to support us when staff are on training, off sick, holiday. We are looking for an experienced candidate with a minimum of a level 2 early years qualifications as we need to adhere to appropriate ratios. Hourly pay will be dependent on experience in line with nmw.
Your role will involve acting as a Key Person and supporting others when the main key person is absent so experience of this would be an advantage. This position requires a level of fitness as some light to medium lifting is involved with the setting up and packing away of equipment and resources. You will be required to plan activities and work with children to support their next steps in development. Communication with parents/carers at the end of the session is expected in order to share what the children have been doing that day. You will be expected to record observations and extend children's learning. Knowledge of Microsoft office especially word is necessary to produce reports. We would like you to be available to start at 8am and finish at 3.30pm on certain days and sessions, although this is not always the case and depends on what shifts are being worked/covered. We require a passionate, creative practitioner with sound understanding of EYFS who wants to be part of our team, offering quality learning to support children’s development from 2–5years.
